Humber Restoration
How we collect, use and protect your personal information. Last updated 2 October 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Humber Restoration ("we", "us") handles personal data for visitors to humberrestoration.co.uk and people who contact us about water, flood and fire damage restoration in Hull and East Yorkshire. We are the data controller for the information you give us through this website and by phone. You can reach us at info@humberrestoration.co.uk.
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry: to call you back, arrange a visit, and pass the job to a vetted local restoration contractor who can attend. If you request a flood report, we use your email to send it, and we keep a record of the request. If you give your email address with a cost estimate, we use it to send you a copy of that estimate. We only send flood warning emails if you ticked the box and then confirmed by clicking the link we send you, and every warning email has a link to stop them. We do not pass flood report requests to a contractor unless you contact us for help. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
For flood reports and estimate copies we rely on our legitimate interest in providing the report or estimate you asked for. For flood warning emails we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. For emergency enquiries we rely on taking steps at your request and on our legitimate interest in responding quickly to a property emergency. Where you submit the form, you are consenting to us contacting you about your enquiry.
We keep flood report requests for 12 months, and flood warning subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow up, and then delete them. Call records are kept for a short period for quality and to action your enquiry, then removed.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email info@humberrestoration.co.uk and we will respond.
We use only essential cookies. For full detail see our Cookie Policy.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
