Hull & East Yorkshire
A roof leak does its damage quietly, soaking the loft, the insulation and the ceilings before it ever drips through. We make safe, dry it out and treat what it soaked.
Water from a roof leak runs into the loft, soaks the insulation and the ceiling below, and only shows as a stain or a drip once a lot has already got in. We deal with the water that has spread through the roof space, not just the visible patch.
Soaked insulation holds water against the ceiling and feeds mould. We dry or replace it, because a leak fixed on the roof still leaves a wet loft below.
Hull's older terraces and exposed coastal position mean slipped slates and tired flashing let storm water in. We dry the loft and ceilings it soaks.
We make safe and can arrange a temporary fix to stop more water, then dry the damage. Permanent roofing is arranged alongside.
Because the loft and insulation are still holding water. Left wet they keep the ceiling damp and feed mould, so they need drying.
Once the area is dry we treat the staining. A stain that returns means the leak is still active, which we check for.
